All about me

I'm a Melbourne-based digital content specialist with decades of experience producing photography and videography within the Arts and Culture space. The lion's share of my work ocurrs in the entertainment landscape, where I work with creative artists, arts and cultural organisations, and companies large and small, to produce digital content for live performances, exhibitions, online events, official announcements, collateral, and online marketing and advertising. I thrive to create unique narratives that entertain and engage the audience.
I trained in the performing arts in the mid-1990s and have worked in entertainment, media, marketing, and news media ever since. After working as an editor and photographer for agency and industry clients, I launched my own creative agency to produce high-quality stills and video content for Australia's leaders in Arts and Culture. It has been my privilege in this time to collaborate with many iconic institutes and identities, producing memorable and compelling stories. The key points of difference I offer compared to others in this space, are: my experience and understanding of the dynamics of live entertainment; my work in publilc relations and ability to identify newsworthy visual content; my ability to prioritise and perform at my peak in high-pressure situations; and my understanding that sometimes the perfect photo requires 5 minutes of calm conversation to relax someone before making them work for the camera.
In addition to my skills in screen production, I also write and direct. I have trained in comedy writing for screen with Second City Chicago and the Harold Ramis Film School, and have produced sketch comedy for screen and stage.
As a Master of Creative Industries graduate, majoring in Film, my creative practice spans multidisciplinary works that engage the audience through meaningful narrative symbols and unconventional storytelling; subverting dominant narratives and challenging cultural ideals. My film works can be found at Hearn Street Films.
I am proud to have worked with an extensive number of industry-leading arts, culture and government institutions, including: Arts Centre Melbourne, ACMI, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Stephanie Lake Company, The Abbotsford Convent Foundation, The City of Melbourne, Screen Australia, Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, British Council | Australia, Knox City Council, Museums Victoria, Sydney Film Festival, RMIT, and the Victorian College of the Arts. My previous work has also been preserved in the Australian Performing Arts Collection.
I am a member of Canon Professional Services, and a Blackmagic Certified DaVinci Resolve Editor and Sound Mixer.
